Mercedes Benz Fashion Week: Tracy Reese

Bygbaby.com Mindspill

The Tracy Reese show marked the end of my run at fashion week. By the time I was done shooting, I was totally ready to hit the road to head home.

While I was ready to go home, I was dreading it at the same time.

I had class the next day & I needed to start the process of editing my photos to be posted on The NYLA Report.

After I left the tents at Lincoln Center, I hit the subway to head to FotoCare to return my rented equipment. I literally had to drag myself there. With my load being a little lighter, I got a little lunch & a few afternoon cocktails at Regional Thai. It was the perfect way to end 5 wonderful days living a dream.

Several days later, I have 2 shows left to edit. I know it’s taking forever but I do have a real life. So yes, I have a handful of fashion to share with you.

What’s not to love about Tracy Reese? Season, after season–she’s still one of my favorite designers who creates wearable clothes. Inspired by glamorous travel and exotic looks, Tracy went back in time with psychedelic 70s style silhouttes with a modern twist.

Main pieces included leather sundresses layered over tulle, hobo style chiffon blouses splashed with prints of branches, olives, and fruits and clashing print wideleg pants. Her vast array of cocktail dresses ran the gamut from knee-length shift dresses with bold stripes, ruffles, and matching duster jackets to super feminine strapless day dresses in ombre shading and ethnic prints.

The main accessories were floppy hats in leather and lace and medium sized Jackie-O glasses.

Celebs spotted: Angela Simmons, Dania Ramirez (Entourage), Veronica Webb (model), Kelly Osbourne and Aisha Tyler (actress) all sat in the coveted front row.

Swoon. Kudos, Tracy.
