Learning New Things on the Fly
While in NYC on vacation, I stopped into B&H, the dream store of all photographers great & small. While there I was able to drop into a lighting seminar given by photographer, DJ LaDez & Lumedyne.
This was my first time flirting with lighting and live models & it was a bit of a challenge but totally fun!
Although the focus of the seminar was using strobe lights, when we got out onto the streets, I found that my favorite images where ones where I used natural light only.
There were three models for class participants to work with but I gravitated to Lydia Hicks. Maybe it was her smile. Maybe it was her awesome hair… Whatever it was, I loved working with here and was excited to see how well our photographs came out.
Talk about being out of your element but making it work!
