A Night of Dance: Swan Lake
This weekend, I had the opportunity to see the Russian National Ballet perform Swan Lake downtown Detroit.
After seeing Black Swan twice, this came just in time while I was hype.
The performance was quite exciting & very graceful. Scenes two & four (The Lakeside) were the best & like what I imagined.
Up until seeing this show, I was telling friends that I’ve never seen a ballet performance. The truth is, that I have & totally forgot all about it.
A little less than 4 years ago, I saw the National Ballet of China & I loved it.
Somewhere between acts 3 & 4, I told Suite Suzy that I JUST remembered seeing it. Duh!!!!
Lastly, I’ll be rooting for Black Swan this evening during the Golden Globes! No doubt!

Amazingly beautiful work. I’ve always found ballet to be beautiful but Black Swan really opened my eyes to the visual experience. Love these photographs—it’s like an addition to my new found visual appreciation.
