1st Ave Punk Facade

Bygbaby.com Mindspill

I was walking down 1st Ave on my way to the subway station to meet friends for drinks when I noticed this guy walking past me.

He was walking with a hurried pace, his back was hunched, his hair was blowing everywhere & he had a scowl on his face.

Before he got too far ahead of me, I called out to him & requested a photo. Suddenly, he smiled & said sure.

His seemingly dark & unfriendly exterior became a façade for a nice guy. As I got my camera set, he smiled.  Then he switched and asked if it was OK for him to give the finger in the photo. As you see, it was totally OK with me.

As I walked away, I thought to myself, how does he manage the two identities that I observed in our brief interaction.
