Seen Some Fashion Bitches

Day one of New York Fashion Week had me in awe & visually over stimulated. Beautiful and intensely interesting people were everywhere.

One thing I noticed above most was that everyone seemed to have on black, white, gray or a combination of the three.

I was thinking, isn’t everyone supposed to be highly fashionable or some kind of extra stand out?

As this was crossing my mind then walks out über celebrity stylist June Ambrose. Before I knew she was a big deal, I was like oh, I like her. Yes she was wearing black but with a kick. She was that stand out that I was looking for.

June had this Je ne sais pas quoi that was pulling my soul toward her & the turban. The way she walked across the plaza with confidence and swagger literally fucked me up in all the right ways.

And the turban…. Well, it certainly wasn’t the last turban that I saw in my five-day adventure. Shit, there was even turban-esque headwear on the runway. Will this look be sweeping the nation? June if you’re reading this, tell us boo.

After I pulled myself together, I approached her for a photograph. I thanked her then we parted ways.

I’m so happy to have this as part of my analog series!

As I walked away I was like, I cannot wait to see how the image came out. The lack of instant gratification that comes with film creates excitement me for me.
