You Look Like A…
Last night while at a function, a young woman asked me if I was a singer. I informed her that I was not and that I was actually a visual artist. A photographer.
When she asked, I laughed in my head because I get that question pretty often.
Silently, I ask what does a singer look like? I guess my artist spirit is giving off some kind of vibe.
If you ask me, I say that I look like a photographer. As sexy one if you want to be totally honest. I’m just saying.
I think it is the connection to art and your personal style. Since people will assume a person is a performing artist before a visual one, I can kinda see why someone assumes you are singer and not a photographer. I don’t think people imagine “us” as photographers as much as they do performing artists. 😉
I actually see why people would assume you are a singer. From the pictures that I have seen of you on your site. you have a unspoken presence. I also agree with the commenter above that its the connection to the art and your personal style. And though I’ve never met you, I bet you have a great speaking voice which lends to the assumptions. Being a singer, I get told from time to time that I look like a singer. Interesting, because I have a slight presence but never think I look like a singer but to me its a great compliment none the less.
