In Wonder
Late this spring, I started a new exercise plan that included cardio & weight lifting 3-4 times weekly in addition to daily power walks with the goal of 10 miles per week.
It started off rough but after a month, I was really in my groove! Once I hit my stride, I significantly increased my cardio activity. Now, I’m at the point where I’m running on the treadmill. Go figure!
Coupled with this tattered exercise plan, I have been really watching how & what I eat.
All of this has been working and I have met my first goal, which was to lose 10 lbs before I went on my late summer vacation.
I have added a new goal to be at a total of 25 lbs down by the end of the year. I know I will do it because I want to do it.
Turning 40 next year has given me a new outlook on life & fitness, so I’m about to make this happen!
On my 2-mile walk today, I noticed a patch of woodland sunflowers and I got pretty damn excited. These happen to be one of my favorite wild flowers and they only are in bloom for a couple of weeks.
Watching these delicate flowers dance in the breeze gives me a sense of wonderment & make me daydream… It’s the simple things that tend to give me the greatest joy.
